The Peggy Hobbs Service Award began in 1977 with the intent to honor a woman of outstanding personal development, achievement, and dedication as a volunteer. Today, the award is open to any woman who embodies the mission of YWCA Northeast Indiana, which is empowering individuals and communities through advocacy, education, and support services, ensuring dignity for all.

YWCA Northeast Indiana is excited to continue Peggy’s legacy by presenting the Peggy Hobbs Service Award to a woman from our community who exhibits the passion, commitment, and dedication of Peggy Hobbs at YWCA’s annual Circle event in October.
Circle is YWCA Northeast Indiana’s signature luncheon event that raises critical dollars each year to support continuum of care services for survivors of domestic violence. The event will take place on October 30, 2025, at the Mirro Center for Innovation, located at 10622 Parkview Plaza Dr, Fort Wayne, IN 46845, from 11am to 1pm. The theme is “Reflecting Back to Move Forward” and will focus on the children impacted by domestic violence. Attendees will hear from an individual who grew up in a home with domestic violence and how this individual broke the cycle of violence. Attendees will also hear from an expert panel about the impacts we see domestic violence having on children in Northeast Indiana. Tickets to Circle are $100 each. More information about this unforgettable event can be found on YWCA’s website: https://ywcanein.org/circle/
