Book Club

YWCA Northeast Indiana’s Book Club invites readers to come together to discover, discuss, and drive change. Guided by our annual theme, “A New Chapter Starts Here,” this book club creates space for meaningful conversations around stories that challenge perspectives, build empathy, and inspire action.

Throughout the year, we’ll explore books that reflect on topics relevant to the work being done at YWCA Northeast Indiana. We will connect literature to real-world issues that matter. Each book club meeting will be moderated by YWCA staff and offer an opportunity to learn from one another, deepen understanding, and consider how stories can spark personal growth and collective impact.

Whether you’re an avid reader or simply curious, this is your place to turn the page, join the conversation, and help write the next chapter toward empowering our community.

"Having a space to talk with others in the community about books we are reading related to the work we do at YWCA leaves me feeling grateful. I am grateful we have the ability to do this and I look forward to the rest of the books this year!"

"I'm so grateful to have been a part of YWCA Northeast's first book club. It was a treat to connect with people through a shared love of reading and to be a part of some surprising and healing conversations."

"I really enjoyed our conversations about "Speak". It was interesting to hear how everyone was reading the book through different lenses than I was, and it pushed me to think about parts of the story I might have overlooked. There were moments of reflection where people were really sitting with what had been shared!"
