YWCA Northeast Indiana’s domestic violence services help adults and children experiencing domestic violence to understand the dynamics of domestic violence so that they are empowered to choose a life free from abuse.
Domestic violence is considered a preventable public health issue by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Education and awareness are the keys to preventing instances of domestic violence and helping those, the majority of whom are women, in domestic violence situations find safety and have options for a different life.
